YOUTH READING CHALLENGE
For Ages 0-14

Welcome to this year's winter reading and activity program. We have revamped our winter program to include new and improved fun activities and reading challenges. This year's winter program will be fully online through our easy to use Beanstack app which will be available to access through the website or a phone app.

For every 5 activities and/or reading challenges you complete, you will be entered into our grand prize drawing.

ADULT READING CHALLENGE
For Teens & Adults

Come in from the cold and join us for a reading and activities challenge. Pour some hot cocoa, grab your favorite blanket, and get cozy while you read, solve puzzles, and/or participate in virtual programs. There will be weekly prizes for participants, and grand prizes for those who complete the challenge. Winter Weather Warm-Up will run from January 1, 2021 to February 28, 2021. Registration is online via Beanstack.

Grand prizes will include the following:
  • Basket of local gift cards
  • Air fryer and cookbook
  • Mini spa package
  • Road trip package
  • Kindle Fire
  • One year of a streaming service
  • Dinner and movie night
  • Cooking class choices + some ingredients or supplies

The library will not be participating this year in the FREE Summer Meals program.
However, please read below for information on meals and food distribution in the area. 

RLAS-116 Grab-n-Go

RLAS District 116 will continue to serve Grab-n-Go meals through August 2020.

Grab-n-Go meals include breakfast and lunch. Meals are currently distributed Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-11:00 am at Round Lake High School, Round Lake Middle School, Beach Elementary, Ellis Elementary, Murphy Elementary, and Village Elementary. This schedule will continue through Friday, May 29. Beginning Monday, June 1, and through at least Monday, August 31, meals will be served Monday-Thursday. 


Current Grab-n-Go Meal Schedule (through Friday, May 29)

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00am-11:00am
  • Double meals on Friday, May 22
  • No meal distribution on Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day)

June Grab-n-Go Meal Schedule (June thru August)

  • Monday - Thursday
  • 8:00am-11:00am
  • Double meals on Thursdays
  • No meal distribution on Fridays

RX Mobile Pantry
Location: HART HILL (Parking Lot across the street from the library)

FREE RX Mobile Pantry with produce, milk, eggs, and meat will be made available to all residents.
