Getting Started with Udemy

As per Udemy's Terms and Conditions, you must be 13 years old to create a Udemy profile.

The library provides access to Udemy via a partner company called Gale, which also produces research databases for looking up articles. In order to create a Udemy profile via Gale, you will need log in using a Google or Microsoft account.

If you don't already have a Google (@gmail.com) or Microsoft (@hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com, @outlook.com) account:
• You can create a Google account at https://accounts.google.com/signup. You can create a new Gmail account to go with this service, or sign up using an existing email address.
• You can create a Microsoft account at https://signup.live.com/signup. You can create a new outlook.com/hotmail account to go with this service, or sign up using an existing email address.
When you log into Udemy via Gale, only your email address and name get passed to Udemy. You can add more details to your Udemy profile if you'd like, but it is optional.

You will also be directed to a page from Microsoft or Google noting Gale will have access to your Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive files and folders. This is to allow Gale's research databases to save articles you select to a folder within your Google Drive/OneDrive account. Udemy does not gain any access to your Google or Microsoft accounts.

For more details, see Gale's Privacy Overview and Udemy's Privacy Policy.
