Families Learning Together ESL
The library partners with the Waukegan Public Library and the College of Lake County to provide a no cost family literacy program at the library that allows parents and children 0-6 years old to learn, practice, speak and read English together. This free program lets you improve your English, while learning to teach your child how to read.
Parents attend English classes, while their children learn their numbers, colors, and sounds in English, as well as develop the skills need to read in English through structured, fun activities. For more information, call (847) 543-2591. Funded by an Illinois State Library grant, United Way grant and Federal grant issued to the College of Lake County.
