Advance registration is required for all classes. Please note: sign-ups will only be available 2 weeks before the start of each class. The following classes will be taught one-on-one, or in a small group of no more than two persons. To request instruction please fill out a form at the Adult Services Reference Desk and an appointment time will be arranged with you.
Basic Computer Skills (By appointment only):
This is the foundation class for learning the mouse and keyboard skills necessary to use all programs on the computer.
Digital Images (By appointment only):
Bring in your digital camera and learn how to upload, edit, crop and resize the pictures so that you can save them and share them via the Internet. Experience with copy and paste and an e-mail account is required.
Google Drive (By appointment only):
Learn to use different Google applications for document creation and other forms. Prior experience with MS Word and MS Excel required.
Intro to the Internet (By appointment only)
Learn how to search the Internet. Find what you’re looking for using search engines, and information directories. You will also learn how to safely shop, do your banking online, and get driving directions. Basic computer skills are required for this class.
MS Powerpoint (By appointment only)
Learn how to prepare business slide presentations, print hand-outs, and create a personal picture slideshow. Basic MS Word skills are required to take this class.
MS Word (By appointment only)
Learn the basic tools needed to operate Microsoft Word. We will teach you how to use the icons that make composing a document easy. Basic computer skills are required to take this class.
E-book Downloading (By appointment)
Learn how to use the library's free e-book and e-audiobook download service. Please bring your device.
The remainder of the classes are taught classroom style. Session A and B of each class are identical, you only need to select one to attend.
Microsoft Excel I
Learn the basic tools needed to operate Microsoft Excel. In this introductory class we will explore the anatomy of a spreadsheet, look at simple formulas and learn other vital functions of this financial application. Basic computer skills are necessary.

Microsoft Excel II
This class is designed to build upon the fundamentals learned in Intro to Excel. Join us as we explore the intricacies of complex formulas, predetermined functions, formatting, and basic graphs. Basic Microsoft Excel knowledge is necessary.
