Library Board Vacancy

The Round lake Area Library is seeking applications to fill one open Trustee position.  The Board of Trustees meets the fourth Wednesday of each month.  The Board is responsible for approving the library’s budget, raising funds to provide library services to the community, and setting library policies.  

If you’re interested in serving on this exciting and important community board, please send a letter of interest detailing your reason for application (limited to 500 words) and resume to the Round Lake Area Library, 906 Hart Rd, Round Lake, IL 60073, ATTN: Trustee Selection Committee. The deadline for consideration is May 15, 2013. 

Mural Contest

“What Does the Round Lake Area Library Represent to Me”   

Show how the Round Lake Area Library is important in your life, by designing a mural with that theme. The contest is open to any Round Lake Library patron 15 years or older.  Submissions can be by individuals or teams.  The winning entry will be displayed in the lobby for 1 year.  First, second and third places will be showcased on our website. Submissions are due in person between May 14th and May 21st, 2013.  Voting to select a winner starts June 1st.  Click here for more details.  Good luck!
